Chinese mythical creature Piyao incense burners have a pivoting head to allow the placement of incense or mosquito coils for burning. Smoke will escape the body from the mouth and under its main. These incense burners are hand-made of heavy walled brass that is sand-cast, hand-worked, and chemically oxidized to bring out the natural green coloured patina, characteristic of oxidized brass.
