This insulated container is a replica of a "ding" or "ting" which is an ancient vessel with handles, a lid and legs. Dings usually come in round shapes which have 3 legs and square ones with 4 legs. In Chinese history and culture, possession of dings symbolizes power and domination over land and property. The literal translation of "inquiring ding" is often asking who is in charge or has the power. This replica of the ding is made of aluminum with a stainless steel interior bowl that is insulated. This container can be used as an ice bucket, rice or soup container for the table. The design has 6 dragons around the periphery acting as handles and 3 more dragons as legs.

Caring for the ice bucket:
For general care, use a dry soft towel and polish the surface in a gentle circle motion once a year. For extra shine, apply a very thin layer of black shoes polish paste and use a soft cloth to polish the surface in a circle motion where need.
