This is a replica wine vessel (Jue) from the Shang Dynasty with a Taotie pattern. The three-legged base is typical of items from this time period. On the top of the cup are two buttons. These are said to be used as a reminder to the user not to drink too fast or too much since they will touch your eyes when tilted all the way backward. This item is 100% brass and finished in three colours.
